As part of Create 2015, Siobhain Steele Ceramics were honoured to collaborate with Galway artisan perfumer Cloon Keen Atelier to create a unique candle holder which is now exclusively available to purchase at Brown Thomas stores and through their online shop.
Cloon Keen Atelier was established in 2001 by Margeret Mangan and Julian Checkley and draws inspiration from the many years the two spent working in the art department on feature films. The range specialises in perfumes and home fragrances which are all individually handmade in Cloon Keen Atelier’s workshop in Galway.
Now in its fifth year, the Brown Thomas CREATE initiative celebrates the very best in Irish Design and Craft by showcasing the latest Irish talent in its stores over the course of the event. This year’s event, which ran from 7th July to 16th August, coincided with the Year of Irish Design and was the biggest display of home grown talent yet.
Siobhain thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with the team from Cloon Keen Atelier and is very proud of what they created together and of being part of the Create 2015 event.
